We have received the following requests through our press office. If you can help please contact the TCF press officer, Audrie Norris media@tcf.org.uk.
Tell Your Story
Medavia media consultancy is looking to raise awareness of Compassionate Friends in the national press with YOUR help. We are searching for members who are willing to talk about their personal experiences for a feature in a national newspaper or women's magazine. This feature would be sensitively handled by ourselves with full copy approval offered to yourself after writing. In the first instance we would require an informal chat with you so you can tell us a little bit about your story. Then, on your go-ahead, we would approach the media and secure a commission. A fee would be offered to you for your story and most importantly you would have the final say-so over whether you wished to proceed with publication. The aim with all features, as well as offering support to other people in a similar situation to yourself, would be to make mention of Compassionate Friends and its contact details
If you are interested in finding out more please email Audrie media@tcf.org.uk

A journalist writing a feature for a national monthly magazine aimed at those in their 50s/ 60s is looking to talk to someone in their 50s/60s about how they supported their son or daughter through the loss of a grandchild. The piece would be part of a wider feature on how parents continue to support and help their grown up children through life (through difficult times and through positive experiences too).
