BOOK FOR THIS WALK

Bereaved dad and TCF volunteer, Terry, invites you to join him for the next supportive TCF walk in London for parents, adult siblings and grandparents on Saturday 26 October, at 11 am.

This month’s walk is entitled Relics of the Past and will start from London Bridge Station. The route of about 5 miles takes us to Bermondsey where we will look for relics of it’s past glories. The area is packed with historical significance including a former Abbey, London’s first railway terminus, the first tunnel under the Thames, the wharf where the Mayflower began it’s voyage to the New World and much more!

Our lunch stop will be Southwark Park where there is a café by the lake, toilets & benches for those bringing a picnic.

The walk will finish at around 3.30 pm at Rotherhithe Overground station. It is only one stop to Canada Water station on the Jubilee Line. For those wishing to stay on for some well-earned refreshment there is an old, riverside pub a few minutes from the station.

***

Please note that our peer support is for parents bereaved of a child from one month old to an adult son or daughter, from any cause.

We ask please that you wait until you are at least 3 months or more bereaved before accessing our support walks – new walk dates are added on a regular basis here. We very much hope to welcome you at a future walk. During this time, please contact our Helpline on 0345 123 2304 for support.

***We will be sending out a welcome email about a week before the walk to give you more information and meeting point details. This email comes from info@tcf.org.uk so please look out for it (please also be aware that it can sometimes go into junk or spam folders, so do check there if you have registered for the walk and haven’t received details within 4/5 days of the walk).

Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent, grandparent or adult bereaved sibling.

As this is a supportive walk, we ask that we stay together as a group for the duration the walk. Thank you. Please note that all walkers join us at their own risk.
