36 tcf.org.uk TCF NEWS | FUNDRAISING ROUND-UP A warm thank you to all our fundraisers and donors - large and small. Fundraising Round-up  The Big Give Christmas Campaign TCF was able to raise £11,470 plus Gift Aid, more than our target of £10,000 in the Big Give Christmas Campaign, in which we participated for the first time. We are very grateful to individuals and organisations who made pledges that were matched by a Big Give Champion, the Julia & Hans Rausing Trust, to double the donations that people made to the campaign. Thank you to everyone who supported us with this fundraising initiative. TCF is delighted that the National Lottery Community Fund has awarded us £99,000 over three years to continue funding the Grief Companion Scheme, which matches newly bereaved parents in areas where there is no local support with volunteers who are more than 3 years bereaved. The first grant payment arrives in March 2024. In addition, the National Lottery's Awards for All has awarded us £15000 in recognition of the importance and usefulness of our online support groups to bereaved parents and siblings. A huge thank you and congratulations to Harrison Newman who ran a half marathon in Dubai and raised £1160 in memory of his friend, Katie. He said it was an emotional day thinking about why he was running, but we can't thank you enough for raising money for bereaved parents and siblings so they can access our peer to peer support. They raised a wonderful £450 to support our work with bereaved parents and families.
