My child has died. How do I talk about my grief?

17 Some people don’t know how to respond What we need most is for our friends to be kind to us. I asked my neighbour why they’d never made any reference to the fact my child had died. They said it was because they didn’t want to remind me of his death. They honestly thought I’d have times during the day when I’d forget! Some people actually cross the road to avoid me. Perhaps they have no idea what to say, so they don’t say anything. It really hurts. I’ve been thinking of you. Would you like to pop round for a cuppa? Would you like me to take your dog for a walk? I’ve brought you a meal.
