My child has died. How do I talk about my grief?
5 As a bereaved parent you may say or do things that seem strange to others. You might not be ready to go back to work or leave your home as soon as other people think you should. You might want to keep your child’s room untouched or wear their clothes. You might feel the need to visit their grave frequently or not at all. Remember that this is your grief. There is no rulebook or timetable for grieving. Whatever you do that helps you to cope is right for you, no matter what other people might think or say. It’s your choice what to do with these things I can’t bear to part with my son’s clothes. I’ve got his phone too.
