The Terry Pratchet quote mentioned by Clare follows: “ “ My brother Nicholas died in a road accident in March 2019. During lockdown I have been watching these glorious flowers from my office window, which have grown from a single plant he gave us years ago. At his funeral I read a piece from the end of Terry Pratchett’s Reaper Man which says that nobody has truly gone until the ripples they make in the world die away. These flowers are a beautiful ripple, one of so many that Nicholas left with us despite being the quietest and most self-contained of people.
