Pg 11 Fundraising Round Up “I prefer the company of the broken hearted – for their hearts are larger” In January 2023, in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, 100 bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents gathered together for our first UK-wide retreat weekend for all in 4 years. It was wonderful to be back together again in the familiar, but somewhat upgraded, environment of Sedgebrook Hall Hotel. We offered a full programme of sharing sessions, workshops, activities and talks. Old friends were together again and many new friendships were forged. “It’s been a roller coaster of emotions but I truly felt supported and, in the company, of people who really understand. It’s made me realise that I need to find that support for myself that I don’t have and this weekend has opened my eyes to that.
