TCF News, Summer 2022
Summer 2022 - TCF Newsletter | www.tcf.org.uk 4 Introducing Emeraude Nsakala Emeraude (pronounced Emerald) joined TCF staff team in March 2022 as a full time Administrator in our office, working with, Charité (part-time Administrator), and our Office Manager, Karolina. Here Emeraude tells you a little about herself. “I have worked within the administration field for many years and regard myself as a well organised and compassionate individual. Although I am not a bereaved parent, I have experienced bereavement, therefore I know the importance of having a support network during such a difficult time. I am hopeful that my skills and experiences which I have gained within my previous roles will be a great benefit to the staff team, volunteers and bereaved parents and other family members which TCF serves. Emeraude can be contacted at emeraude@tcf.org.uk or at info@tcf.org.uk TCF walks are back! This spring and summer a programme of walks for bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents are under way. Thanks to our fantastic volunteer walk leaders, the range and locations of TCF walks are growing. Many have found that walking can be a great way to chat with others while getting some helpful fresh air and exercise - usually in beautiful surroundings. Our Compassionate Friends walk leaders are all bereaved parents or siblings themselves and want to share their love of the outdoors and walking with others. The walks usually attract a mixture of first-timers and returners – all are warmly welcome. David and Sheila are two new walk leaders for TCF. David ran his first walk in the Chilterns and Sheila in the Lake District earlier in the year. They shared some photos of their walkers with us. Other recent walks in May and early June include in the Leeds area, an urban walk in London, Somerset, Bury St Edmunds and Welshpool. Thankyou to Caroline, Terry, Yvonne, Teresa and Shirley, David and Fiona for leading these days of walking and talking together.
