Donations
The Compassionate Friends is funded mainly by donations, membership subscriptions
and fundraising from and by bereaved parents and their families, and other supporters.
We receive little funding from government and statutory sources. We need your
help to pay for our Helpline, local support groups, publications, website,
postal library, and other projects and costs.
Please consider helping us by
making a donation, holding a fundraising event or by using one of the fundraising
ideas below. Thank you.

We receive commission for our funds on everything you buy.
The Compassionate Friends would like to thank the following people
and organisations for sponsoring our website. Without their support our site would not exist.

Collect Used Postage Stamps for our charity |
 |
I'm not only interested in used stamps, but any philatelic
related material, (old stamp albums, stock books, and unwanted stamp collections)
as I am trying to raise funds by selling in auctions over the Internet, as
well as the more 'normal' method of selling to local stamp dealers.
I may even be able to find a market for other collectibles
(such as phone cards, Pokemon cards, coins, etc.).
I also could make use of any old (or even new!) stamp catalogues
to assist me in valuing the stamps.
Thank you. |

Recycle your old mobile phones to raise money for TCF
 |
As well as raising vital funding for The Compassionate Friends, you
can provide an affordable first phone for people in the developing world,
improving their quality of life, personal safety, and the local economy.
If they cannot be re-used, the toxic components will be recycled, saving
energy and cutting the production of greenhouse gases that cause
global warming.
More details, and freepost envelopes, are available from the TCF
National Office if you interested.

Recycled Printer Cartridges
 |
There are over 8 million used printer cartridges thrown away each
year in the UK. That's equivalent to an area the size and depth of a
football stadium!
Help the environment by sending your used printer or fax cartridges
to TCF and we will send them for recycling.
For each cartridge TCF sends for recycling we receive a payment.
Please send yours to: TCF Recycled Cartridges, 53 North Street,
Bristol BS3 1EN. |

Gift Aid Declaration
|
|
Have you filled in your Gift
Aid form?
On April 6 2000 the rules for the Gift Aid scheme changed to allow
charities to reclaim tax on a far wider range of donations and other
receipts. This could be a major new source of income for TCF if everybody
making a donation or paying a membership subscription signed a Gift Aid
form.
If you are a tax payer who has completed a Gift Aid form then:
TCF can reclaim 28 pence for every £1 you give. This means a £10 donation
generates an additional £2.80 given back to TCF by the taxman. TCF can
also reclaim tax on such things as Membership Subscriptions and Leaflet
Sponsorship.
You only have to fill the form in once! Everything else
is taken care of by the office.
Want to know just how much your donation could be worth? Try out our
Gift aid calculator.
To obtain a form please click
here, or contact
the National Office. It isn’t complicated and it’s an easy way of
helping TCF at no further cost to you. |
