The second in a series of Compassionate Friends Walks will be on Saturday 19th May and is called "From the Traditional to the Modern".
This walk takes us through the different centuries of London, from the picturesque and traditional Little Venice, Regent's Park, Primrose Hill, to the exciting new development at Granary Square behind King's Cross.
There will be commentary on the places of interest that we pass along the way.
We will walk at an easy pace for approximately 5 or 6 miles mainly along canal tow paths and park land, on firm surfaces, so no mud.
Comfortable footwear is advised.
There will be a lunch stop at a cafe in Regent's Park and there will be the option of a drink in a pub after the walk.
Meet at Paddington Station on Platform 1 in front of the War memorial at 11am.
The walk will finish at approximately 15.30 at King's Cross Station.
The walks are intended to be interesting, social & to provide exercise to
help our mental & physical wellbeing.
The start & finish points are designed to allow people to join easily if travelling from outside London.
