We are delighted that Michael Rosen is to be our guest speaker at The Compassionate Friends' AGM which will take place this year at the Friends Meeting House, London (opposite Euston station) on the afternoon of Saturday 5 November.
As well as being a Patron of TCF, Michael is one of
the UK's most popular contemporary poets and author of books for children, a
radio presenter and prolific speaker on children's education and literacy. He
is the author of the wonderful publications - 'The Sad Book' and 'Carrying
The Elephant - a memoir of love and loss'.
The AGM will take place during the afternoon of 5 November (from 2 pm). (The morning (from 11 am) will be devoted to networking, information and training for TCF volunteers).
The event is free of charge and open to all members of TCF, plus other bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents. However, please note that to vote at the AGM you will need to be a donating member of our charity - you can join here.
Tea and cakes will be provided from 4-5 pm. We very much hope that you can join us.
Copies of Michael Rosen's Sad Book will be on sale at the event.
We expect this event to be very popular, so if you would like to attend we ask you to let our National Office know by email or by phoning us on 0345 120 3785. We will then email you a confirmation to allow you access to the event.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you there.
