28 September 2019, 10.00 – 16.00

Wisdom Centre, Romsey

A supportive day for bereaved parents.

In the beautiful, tranquil venue in Romsey, Hampshire this special day - entitled 'Walking Together' - has been planned so that bereaved parents can join together and share precious memories of our child or children. Together we will find understanding and friendship as we find ways to somehow cope with the loss of our child or children.

The day will be very relaxed and you can participate as much or as little as you wish. There will be a short talk about managing our grief followed by group discussions. After lunch we can walk in the peaceful grounds or perhaps listen to inspiring speakers (to be confirmed). Then in the remaining time you could choose to spend time on craft activities or participate in further small group discussions.

The venue for the day is the Wisdom Centre. The Centre is accessible for all - with a lift available. There is limited parking at the Centre (just 15 spaces) but there are car parks very close by (a map will be forwarded to you). Romsey train station is just a 10 minute walk from the venue, and we can provide lifts from station by request.

The cost for the day is £40.00. This includes:

* tea and coffee on arrival
* coffee and biscuits mid morning
* lunch -salad buffet, cheese and biscuits and desert. Tea/coffee
* Afternoon tea and cakes

If you have any questions or would like more information please call our office on 0345 120 3785 and we will ask Joy to get in touch with you.

Cancellations: If you cancel your booking by 3rd September we can refund your booking in full, less £5 for our charity's admin costs. After 3rd September, unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund.

Please note that our retreats are run by bereaved parent volunteers. Our volunteers are not professionals and so what we offer is a uniquely warm, comforting and supportive day organised and facilitated by parents who have also experienced the loss of a child and have found understanding and hope themselves through The Compassionate Friends.
