TCF receives no government funds – we rely totally on fundraising and our membership to be able to continue to offer our services, support, friendship and hope to bereaved families. Warm and heartfelt thanks to all the individuals and teams who have undertaken an event for us. We truly couldn’t do without you and our charity is immensely grateful to you all.
Some of the wonderful past fundraising events are listed below.
10 January: Annikki Laitinen ran the Richmond Park 10k in memory of her brother, Nikko.
13 March: Adelle Brenner ran the Bath Half Marathon in memory of her daughter, Celia and raised £900.
24 April: Marcus Hunt ran his first London Marathon in memory of his brother, Adam.

22 March: Annmarie Loughlin ran the Richmond Half Marathon for her friends Anekke, Nick and Landen, in memory of Freya.
10 May: Roseanne Kay ran the Great North 10k Run in memory of her son, Callum.
15 May: The Gemma Stewart Charity Ball, held in memory of Gemma Stewart raised money for the Intensive Care Unit at Frenchay Hospital and The Compassionate Friends.
June: John Ashton’s rode the Liverpool to Bristol canal path cycle ride, an epic journey of 278 miles over 5 days.
28 June: Sue Hughes organised Joe’s Walk and BBQ Supper in memory of her son, Joe.
11 July: TCF Kettering Support Group Annual Coffee Morning.
19 July: Jackie Gavin took part in Ironman UK.
12 July: Team Florence Moore – Alison (Florence’s mother), Bob (Florence’s grandfather) and friends, Barbara, Louise, Nicola and Sally ran The British London 10k.
4 October: The Doctors’ Orchestra, conducted by Dr Stephen Brearley, fundraising concert at the Cadogan Hall, London raised over £16,000 for TCF and brought many bereaved parents together on this special day. (Picture)

11 April: Dolce Community Choir concert in Portstewart, Northern Ireland in memory of Lauren Minford.
13 April: Kalee Datlin ran the Virgin London Marathon in 5 hours 38 minutes.
May and June: Kiefer Frary’s mother and sister organised a Friends and Family 12 mile walk from Kiefer’s memorial bench in Wales and a disco in his memory.
14 June: Jackie Gavin tackled the Three Peaks Challenge in memory of Mollie, Luie and Lucy.
29 June: Sue Hughes organised Joe’s Walk and Supper in memory of her son, Joe.
14 July: Jo, Hiti, Alison, Bob, Carolyn and Sarah took part in the British London 10k in memory of all their children and to raise funds for TCF.
5 October: Rainford 10k Memorial Run in NW England organised by Susan Faulkner in memory of her son George.
30 October: Vivienne Watt and Bromley TCF Group held a coffee morning to raise funds for and awareness of TCF.
2 March: Michael Harvey took part in The Major Series (six miles run of mud, hills and obstacles) in support of his in-laws who were helped by TCF.

13 July: Kettering and Area TCF Group annual Fund Raising Coffee Morning, organised by Carol and Adrian Keach.
16 August: Norwich TCF Group Coffee Morning organised by Sue Wellings.
15 September: Fiona Lyle ran in the Great North Run in memory of Elizabeth.
15 September: Richard Taylor-Hirst ran in the Great North Run for his sister Helene, after the death of Charlotte, aged 14.
31 October: Bromley TCF group leader, Vivienne Watt, held a coffee morning.
25 November: Danny Burns’ 10th Anniversary Dinner, organised by Paul Williams and Danny’s friends and family
Throughout 2013: Two open days at the home of Pat and Jerry Morris, Nottinghamshire TCF Support Group facilitators, a summer sale held by a friend of Pat and Jerry Morris and a raffle held at the group’s Christmas Candle-Lighting meeting.
Throughout 2013: Marianne Chambers, local Lincolnshire TCF contact and her family organised a sponsored bike ride, a three mile dog walk and a three hour Martial Arts session in memory of their son, brother and friend Matthew.
Each year thousands of parents suffer the loss of a son or a daughter. Please help us to support families in their time of greatest need.
