CANDLE LIGHTING REMEMBRANCE

The ceremony consists of music for reflection, poems and the reading of our children's names as candles are lit in their memory. You are invited to bring along a photograph to place on the remembrance table and please let Janette know if you would like to contribute with a personal reading/poem or piece of music.
Refreshments will be available afterwards.
All welcome including family and friends.

FOLKESTONE, Kent
CANDLE LIGHTING REMEMBRANCE
8 December 2019, 6.45 for 7 pm candle lighting
Look Out and Remember, Lower Sandgate entrance (via Radnor Cliff) entrance to the Lower Leas Coastal Park Folkestone. The garden is immediately on your right (Folkestone CT20 2JJ).
Bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents, family and friends are all welcome to attend Hythe TCF's annual remembrance in the night air at the beautiful Look Out and Remember garden. Please wrap up warm for our short but very moving event of candle lighting, poems and other readings with the sea below, cliffs and night sky above and lanterns in the trees. Do bring a candle (in a jam jar or hurricane vase) to light when we all take our turn to say out loud our loved ones' names.
We will start promptly at 7 pm and the event will last around 35 minutes or so. You're welcome to bring a decorated pebble for the Pebble Pool too if you would like to leave something in place, but remember to take candles and jars home afterwards.

SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE AND CANDLE LIGHTING

Anyone who has lost a child is warmly invited to a service of remembrance and candle-lighting ceremony organised by members of the TCF King's Lynn group.
Candles are provided, but you are welcome to bring a framed photograph of your child to display during the service.
Our children's names will be read out during the candle-lighting ceremony.
There will also be the opportunity to write your child's name on a wooden heart or a star to hang on the Remembrance Christmas Tree in the church.
Please join us for refreshments and a chat after the service.
The service is for anyone who has lost a child, grandchild, brother or sister, at any age and from any cause. Extended family members are also welcome.

The service will consist of suitable readings, some hymns/carols, a candle lighting and a period of quiet reflection.
If you wish, please bring a photograph of your child to be displayed throughout the service.
You will be invited to write your child's name on a butterfly slip to be read out during the service. These slips will afterwards be kept in a Book of Remembrance.
