Meet at Waterloo Station, London
The first of a series of walks for the spring and summer, this event is specifically for bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings.....The organiser, Terry Ahern writes...
"My proposed first TCF Walk called Parks & Palaces is to be held on Saturday 21st April.
This 5 mile walk takes in several of London’s major tourist attractions including Trafalgar Square, Buckingham & Kensington Palaces.
I will give a commentary on the places of interest during the walk.
We will walk at an easy pace for approximately 5 miles mainly through the green, open spaces of some of the Royal Parks.
Comfortable footwear is advised, we will walk on firm surfaces, so no mud.
There will be a lunch stop at a cafe in one of the parks.
Meet inside Waterloo Station at 11am, on the main concourse underneath the clock.
The walk will finish at approximately 15.30 at High Street Kensington Underground Station.
There will be the option of a drink in a pub after the walk.
Depending on demand, this will be the first of monthly walks throughout the Spring & Summer
The walks are intended to be interesting, social & to provide exercise to help our mental & physical wellbeing.
I have set the times, start & finish points to allow people to join from outside of London"
If you are interested please email ahern.maria@gmail.com so that Terry has a rough idea of numbers. Enjoy the walk everyone!
