Bridging the Gap - a walk for bereaved parents

1 September 2018, 11.00
London
The next in a series of Compassionate Friends Walks will be on Saturday 1st September 2018.
On the "Bridging the Gap" walk, we will view and cross some of London's most iconic bridges. We will explore some lesser known parts of Southwark and see famous landmarks such as the Tate Modern, and the Globe Theatre.
A large section of the walk will be along the river Thames, both on the Southbank and crossing to Embankment.
There will be commentary on the places of interest that we pass along the way.
Lunch will be at Southwark Cathedral and there will be the option of a post-walk tipple at a traditional inn.
We will walk at an easy pace for approximately 5 miles, mainly on paths and firm surfaces, so no mud.
Comfortable footwear is advised.
Meet under the clock on the main concourse at Waterloo Railway Station at 11 am.
The walk will finish at approximately 3.30 pm at Charing Cross Railway Station.
