Supportive Summer Weekend for Bereaved Parents, Siblings and Grandparents

Bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings (18 years or over) are warmly invited to this Summer supportive weekend at Willersley Castle Hotel in July.The hotel occupies a magnificent position on the edge of the Peak District just south of the spa town of Matlock Bath.

The weekend will be a mixture of informal discussions and activities which you are free to participate in as much or as little as you want. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to spend a weekend away with people who truly understand how it feels to be a bereaved parent, grandparent or sibling.

COSTS

The price per person varies according to the type of room you choose. There are a few superior rooms at extra cost. (Superior rooms have views of the Derwent Valley, standard rooms are at the back of the hotel). Superior rooms will be allocated on ‘first come, first served basis’ so please book early for these.

The price of the booking includes full board from Friday evening dinner through to Sunday lunch and there will be a licensed bar available.

Places are limited, so please book early.

Superior Double/Twin (Main House) £225 per person (£195 donating TCF member)

Standard Single (Main House) £205 per person (£175 donating TCF member)

Mews Standard Single/Double/Twin £185 per person (£155 donating member)

NB Mews bedrooms are situated 100 metres from the hotel and are not suitable for those with disability requirements.

For non-donating members the first year's membership will be included in your booking fee.

Please note that our weekend retreats are run by bereaved parent volunteers. Our volunteers are not professionals and so what we offer is a uniquely warm, comforting and supportive weekend organised and facilitated by parents who have also experienced the loss of a child, and have found understanding and hope themselves through The Compassionate Friends.

Please note although Willersley Castle Hotel is owned by Christian Guild there is no religious content to the weekend.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Should you need to cancel your booking please do so by 14th June 2019 and we will refund your payment, less a £25 admin fee. After this date, we are sorry but our charity is unable to offer any refunds.
