Start at London Bridge Station, London
The next in a series of Compassionate Friends Walks will be on Saturday 29th September 2018.
"Relics of the Past" is a circular walk from London Bridge Station.
We will start at 11 o'clock and finish at approximately 3.30 pm.
Lunch will be at a lovely cafe in a park. After the walk those who want to
stay, can enjoy a well earned drink at a 17th century coaching inn, now
preserved by the National Trust.
The walk will explore Borough, Bermondsey and Rotherhithe, where we will seek
out hidden relics of the past in this historic part of London.
There will be commentary on the places of interest that we pass along the way.
We will walk at an easy pace for approximately 5 miles, mainly on paths and
firm surfaces, so no mud.
Comfortable footwear is advised.
We will meet at the Information point inside entrance 4 of London Bridge
Mainline Station. This is close to platforms 10 and 11 and very close to the M
and S food hall. Please see diagram below.
There is no need to notify your attendance in advance. Just come on the day, it
will be great to meet you. If you require further information, you can email
Terry on terryjahern@gmail.com or
call/text him on 07753832929.
