BEAD (Bereaved through Alcohol and Drugs) Peer Support Group

BEAD (Bereaved through Alcohol and Drugs) Peer Support Group

21 February 2017 – 11 April 2017

Central London venue, London

The BEAD project is a partnership between Cruse Bereavement Care and Adfam, providing practical and emotional support and information specifically for anyone bereaved through a loved one’s drug or alcohol use.

In February there will be a new round of sessions of their peer support group in central London. All support groups are free to attend and open to any adult who’s lost someone in this way. The groups are closed – attendees are expected to attend all sessions, and once the group has begun it won’t accept new members. There will be eight group sessions. All groups are fairly small to promote an intimate and effective setting.

The group will be facilitated by two volunteers who have themselves been bereaved through drugs or alcohol and have been trained to offer support to others going through similar experiences.

The first session is on Tuesday 21 February 2017, and it will then run every Tuesday until 11 April.

The group will take place from 18:45-20:30 at a venue in central London.
