We warmly invite you to join us at our supportive Scottish Gathering in May 2022. Come and be with others who know the agony and anguish of losing a much loved child, sibling or grandchild. For some of you your loss may have happened recently, for others perhaps some time ago but here with us you can freely share your precious and special memories and speak about your loved one with others ‘who just get it’.
The venue for the Gathering will be Stirling and a welcome return to the Stirling Court Hotel situated within the university campus and in the shadow of the Wallace Monument. Please note that we have managed to freeze the costs for this year only and we look forward to welcoming you in May and would encourage you to book early.
You are free to participate in as much or as little as you wish and feel comfortable with. This supportive weekend will be a mixture of discussion groups; craft workshops and activities. There will also be a remembrance and candle lighting service and a special room where photos and memories of your precious children, grandchildren and siblings may be displayed.
Our volunteers are not professionals and so what we offer is a uniquely warm, comforting and supportive weekend organised and facilitated by parents who have also experienced the loss of a child and have found understanding and hope themselves through The Compassionate Friends.

COSTS
The price per person in en-suite accommodation is £220. These costs include full bed and board from Friday afternoon, through to Sunday after lunch. Fortunately, we have been able to freeze the costs for this year only.

Once you book, please note that in April 2022 we will write to you with the full programme and joining instructions for the gathering.
We would encourage you to attend for the whole weekend as it can be so very helpful to be together for the 2 days, however should you wish to make a bespoke booking (e.g. for one night or as a day visitor) rather than the full supportive weekend, then please email Maureen to discuss this further or download the booking form.
CANCELLATIONS
Every effort will be made to ensure that this event does go ahead as planned. However, should any local government enforce changes to the current pandemic rules, we reserve the right to postpone this event to a future date.
Should you need to cancel your booking please do so no later than the 26 March 2022 and we will refund your payment. Sorry after that date due to the hotel terms and conditions we are unable to offer a refund.
Please note that TWIN rooms have sold out for the Scottish Gathering, single and double rooms are available.
