23 March 2022, 11.30
Kew Gardens, Richmond, Surrey
Kew Gardens is supporting the Marie Curie National Day Of Reflection 2022.
The 23rd March will be a chance for us to come together to acknowledge and support all those who have been bereaved during the pandemic and to reflect on the lives of those we have lost.
Kew Gardens is a tranquil and calm place. We would love to share these peaceful Gardens with everyone who would like a day to celebrate, reflect and remember their loved ones in a supportive environment.
After meeting at 11.30 we will observe a minute’s silence. This will be followed by a tree planting and a performance by the Voices Of Hope choir.
Your booking also includes free entry to Kew Gardens on this day. Booking is essential and you can register your interest at National Day of Reflection at Kew
In the afternoon there will be a chance for adults to book onto a choice of activities:
- A mindfulness in nature walk led by a qualified nature based practitioner
- A knitting workshop
- A gentle creative writing workshop
- A relaxing guided tour of the Gardens
All of these activities are free of charge and no previous experience is necessary.
If any of the participants would like to attend one of the afternoon workshops please let us know at communityhorticulture@kew.org and we will book them onto the activity. Please note that places are limited.
