Join Maggie, bereaved Mum of Louie, as she leads her first walk for TCF on Saturday 25 June, meeting at 11 am. Maggie writes...

“Trelissick is one of my favourite places. This short walk, 3 miles, will take in some of the beautiful parkland and woodland of the Trelissick Estate as it winds round the Carrick Roads and creeks of the River Fal.

It is an easy graded walk, but the ground can be uneven and muddy so walking shoes or boots are ideal. Unfortunately, it is unsuitable for those with limited mobility. Friendly, well behaved dogs are welcome.

As this is my first walk for TCF I’m keeping it relatively short. However, there will be the opportunity for a break half way so please feel free to bring a drink and snack. On our return to the start we can have a picnic lunch or there is a café for those that prefer that option. I envisage the walk will take 2 hours at a steady pace.

Our meeting place at 11 am will be outside the shop at Trelissick (National Trust)

Limited bus service number 493 from Lemon Quay (Truro), 10-minute walk from Truro mainline station.

There is a large car park, £5 per day or free for National Trust members. There are also toilets and a café.
