Meeting at Waterloo Station - London, London
All bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents are warmly welcome to join us . Meet at 11 am at Waterloo station. Bereaved dad, Terry, will be leading a wonderful 5 mile walk taking in several of London’s major tourist attractions including Trafalgar Square, Buckingham & Kensington Palaces.
Terry will offer walkers short commentaries on places of interest and landmarks as we walk together on early summer, Saturday morning.
Walking will be at an moderate pace mainly through the green, open spaces of some of the beautiful Royal Parks. Comfortable footwear is advised but walking will be on firm surfaces - so no mud! Please note that this walk is not suitable for those who require walking aids or who might find the pace too demanding.
There will be a lunch stop at a cafe in one of the parks. Or bring your own picnic for lunch.
We will meet inside Waterloo Station at 11 am, on the main concourse underneath the clock.
The walk will finish at approximately 3.30 pm at High Street Kensington Underground Station. There will be the option of a well-earned drink in a traditional pub after the walk
These walks are intended to be interesting, an opportunity to socialise and chat to other bereaved parents and family members as well as to offer some exercise to support our mental and physical wellbeing.
Terry has deliberately set the timing and start and finish points to allow anyone to join this walk from outside of London.
Please note that if you need to cancel after you have booked – we will rely on you to let us know beforehand so that our walk leaders/facilitators don't expect or wait for you. Please email info@tcf.org.uk to let us know. Thank you.
