St Martin-in-The Fields (Trafalgar Square), London
After a Covid-forced absence, members of TASC (The Alliance of Suicide Prevention Charities) and others are again organising a special service at St Martin-in-the-Fields (Trafalgar Square) for those affected by suicide (of any faith or none) — on Saturday 3rd September 2022 at 10.30am.
The purpose of the service is to provide a time of
reflection for people bereaved or affected by suicide with a journey through
loss and grief towards hope and healing. It will again take the form of a
60-minute sequence of words and music to offer space, solidarity and
opportunity to connect for those affected by suicide.
The service will be followed by tea/coffee refreshments in the space adjacent
to the church for as many as want to stay and talk.
Each year since 2015 around 550 people have come to the service.
Through support organisation participation, there will be stalls/tables
for literature etc. and volunteers to talk to people as needs arise.
