Riverside Valley Park Walk, Exeter
8 October 2022, 11.00 – 15.00
Exeter Quay
Please join fellow bereaved parents, Yvonne and Teresa, on a walk through the Riverside Valley Park in Exeter
Here is what they say:
Bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents are warmly invited to join us for a walk in the South West.
We will meet at 11 am at the picturesque Quayside, in Exeter, and shall walk through the Riverside Valley Park walking along the Towpath for the Exeter Ship Canal and returning beside the River Exe past the famous Double Locks Inn.
Details of how to reach the Quay will be sent in a follow up email.
The walk will finish at approximately 3 pm and we can stop at one of the cafes on the Quay for refreshments after the walk.
Do bring a packed lunch as we plan to have a picnic lunch together in Northbrook Park.
This is a 5 mile level walk on good paths but some are uneven underfoot and can get wet after heavy rain. Appropriate footwear will be needed.
Fellow bereaved parents, siblings or grandparents are all welcome, however please note that this walk is not suitable for those who require walking aids or who might find the pace too demanding.
If you have not walked with us before please don't feel daunted or apprehensive about coming on your own. You will find we are a friendly supportive community of others similarly bereaved.
These walks are intended to be an informal opportunity to socialise and chat to other bereaved parents and family members as well as to offer some exercise to support our mental and physical wellbeing
Please note that if you need to cancel after you have booked – we will rely on you to let us know beforehand so that our walk leaders/facilitators don't expect or wait for you. Please email info@tcf.org.uk to let us know. Thank you.
