12 November 2022, 10.00 – 13.00

Whipsnade

Please join fellow bereaved parent, Dave on a walk in the Chilterns

Here is what Dave says:

Hi,

I will be leading a walk starting at Dunstable Downs, Bedfordshire on the 12th of November 2022. The walk will be 6 miles long taking approximately 3 hours and will start from the National Trust Visitor Centre, Dunstable Road, Whipsnade LU6 2GY at 10.30 am.

I have picked this walk as it offers beautiful views over the Chilterns and the local gliding club and as it is on chalk it drains fairly well in winter. Please wear appropriate footwear as we are bound to experience some muddy areas.

We will discover some local history along the way and please be aware that the route will involve some hill walking, so a reasonable level of fitness will be desirable.

This walk will give us a great opportunity to get some fresh air in the winter, if the weather is looking unpredictable, we may need to cancel a few days before.

Parking is available and toilets are available at the visitor centre at the beginning and end of the walk

Looking forward to seeing you on the 12th.

After you have booked please look out for an email from info@tcf.org.uk with further details in the week before the walk.

If you haven’t walked with us before, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining on your own. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of other bereaved parents and siblings.
