Welsh Marches Countryside Walk - Berriew, Powys
29 April 2023, 10.00 – 12.30
Berriew, Powys (off A483 north of Newtown)
TCF volunteers and members David and Fiona invite bereaved parents, grandparents and adult siblings to join a walk in the Severn valley on Saturday 29 April. Meet at 10 am.
They have now settled on a simple level walk starting in the pretty village of Berriew, along made paths, staying on the valley floor alongside the canal but with views up to the hills on either side. The distance is about 5 miles and there are no hills or stiles to climb. Although the route is surfaced there will still be some puddles or mud. You will need strong footwear and waterproofs.
They will start and finish in the village where there is free parking, and plan to have drinks and/or lunch at the lovely Lychgate tearoom – possibly outside as the tearoom’s seating capacity is limited.
Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are themselves a bereaved parent or grandparent, or an adult bereaved sibling.
Our walks aim to bring people together for mutual support and encouragement in the lovely countryside. If you haven’t yet walked with us, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of others who are similarly bereaved.
Please click on the booking link to register. We will be sending out a welcome email about a week before the walk with the meeting point details in Berriew and any last minute information you may need. This email comes from info@tcf.org.uk so please look out for it (please also be aware that it can sometimes go into junk or spam folders, so do check there if you registered for the walk and haven't received details).
