South West Walk in Taunton

Bereaved parents and TCF volunteers, Yvonne and Teresa, invite you to a summer afternoon walk beside the Bridgwater and Taunton canal and the River Tone on Sunday 25th June. (Please note it is on SUNDAY, unlike our usual walks on Saturdays) Although within the town of Taunton, the area along the historic waterways make for both a relaxing and interesting walk.

We shall meet near Taunton station ready for a 2pm start. After the walk there will be the opportunity to have a rest and refreshments in a café garden or inside if wet.

This is a 4 mile walk. It is on level and good footpaths but could be muddy in wet weather. Appropriate footwear is needed.

This is a TCF supportive walk with the opportunity to socialise and chat to others similarly bereaved while taking exercise to support our wellbeing.

If you have not walked with us before please do not feel apprehensive about joining us or coming on your own. You will quickly find we are a friendly and supportive group all of whom are similarly bereaved and understand.

Please register for this event using the 'book for this event' button by Thursday 22nd June at the latest. We will contact you by email from the TCF office (info@tcf.org.uk) with further information and meeting point arrangements approximately a week before the walk.

Please also note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent or adult bereaved sibling.
