Dorney Walk (near Windsor)
16 July 2023, 11.00 – 16.00
Dorney and surrounding area (near Windsor)
TCF volunteers and bereaved parents, Sue H and Sue W, are leading a TCF walk for bereaved parents and adult bereaved siblings around the Dorney area (between Windsor and Maidenhead on the border of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire) on Sunday 16 July.
UPDATE: We will meet at 10.30 for a 11am prompt start in Dorney, and the walk will be about 4.5 to 5 miles along the Jubilee River and Thames path, with a late lunch back in a garden centre cafe in Dorney. It is mostly off-road and the paths can be quite rough so sturdy walking shoes are recommended. Please bring snacks and a drink. We should be finished by 3-4pm.
Open to all bereaved parents and adult siblings. Well behaved dogs are also welcome. If anyone is coming by train Sue H can pick up at Taplow station at 10am. You will need to contact Sue and her contact details will be in the email mentioned below.
If you haven’t walked with us before, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining on your own. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of others who are similarly bereaved and understand.
Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent, grandparent or adult bereaved sibling.
For more details and to register, please click on the, 'book for this event' link. Once you register, we will be in contact with you by email from info@tcf.org.uk approximately one week prior to the walk to give you more information and meeting point details. (Please do check your spam/junk folders if you haven't received further information a few days before the walk. Thank you)
