Meet at Victoria Station
London Walk led by Terry - Passport to Pimlico & Chelsea
This walk is now fully booked. If you would like to be added to a waiting list please email info@tcf.org.uk. We will then contact you should we receive any cancellations. If we do not have enough cancellations then we will email you when the next London walk on the 19th August is advertised.
Our next TCF walk will explore the quieter streets and squares of these elegant areas of our capital city.
Some places are like villages and you may feel as though you have stepped back in time to a different era. Some streets are lined with impressive mansions of architectural interest.
We will start our walk at Victoria station. Terry will be there from 10.45 am. Please ensure you arrive in time for an 11 a.m. prompt start. Our walk will take us across the Thames where we will stop for lunch in Battersea Park. There are cafes and toilet facilities which we can use and benches for those preferring to bring a picnic.
The walk is approximately 5 miles long, finishing at Gloucester Road underground station where you will have the option to begin your journey home, or stay for an after walk drink. Please note that we will be walking at a moderate pace and the walk is not suitable if you cannot walk unaided. As we wind our way through the streets, it is important for everyone’s safety and enjoyment that we stay together as a group.
As this is an urban walk, places will be limited to 30 people for safety of all walkers so please book early if you would like to be with us.
If you haven’t walked with us before, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining on your own. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of others who are similarly bereaved and understand.
The walks offered by TCF are free and are designed to offer you an opportunity to socialise and chat to other bereaved parents and siblings as well as to offer some exercise to support our mental and physical wellbeing. However, you can if you wish give a voluntary donation at the time you book or at www.tcf.org.uk/donate
Please also note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent or adult bereaved sibling.
For more details and to register, please click on the, 'book for this event' link. Once you register, we will be in contact with you by email prior to the walk to give you more information and precise meeting point details.
