The Compassionate Friends are lucky to have 4 runners in this race of 13.1 iconic miles from Newcastle to South Shields. This is the world's biggest half marathon, taking runners through the city centre across the iconic Tyne Bridge, and through Gateshead (while being entertained many bands and if lucky the Red Arrows!)
