Southport Promenade, Beach and Marine Lake Walk

Bereaved parent and TCF volunteer Marcia, is leading her next walk on Saturday 7th October, meeting at 10.45 am for a 11 am prompt start. The walk will be at an easy pace, mostly on flat terrain, about 4 to 5 miles long and taking about 4 hours with stops. We will be going on the beach and around the lake where the ground may be uneven. We will stop at times to look at our surroundings and to have some lunch, so please bring a packed lunch and refreshments with you. There are toilet facilities at the start and there will be some en route too. Hopefully we should see an ice cream van in the town!

We welcome all bereaved parents, grandparents and bereaved siblings (18 years or over). Dogs on leads are also welcome. We look forward to meeting those who have walked with us before, and also welcoming those who are new to our walks. 

If you haven’t yet walked with us, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of others who are similarly bereaved.

We will be sending out a welcome email about a week before the walk to give you more information and meeting point details. Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent, grandparent or adult bereaved sibling.
