Bereaved parents and TCF volunteers David & Fiona, are leading their next walk from Chirk village, to the magnificent medieval fortress of the Welsh Marches Chirk Castle, on Saturday 30th September, meeting at 10am for a 10.15am prompt start.
The walk is 3.8 miles and will lead down country lanes and pasture lands (which can be muddy) at a leisurely pace. The outward leg rises steadily towards the castle and will end with lunch in a café in Chirk village around 1pm (lunch is optional).
We welcome all bereaved parents, grandparents and bereaved siblings (18 years or over). We look forward to meeting those who have walked with us before, and also welcoming those who are new to our walks.  Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join. Leads needed as the whole route is on lanes with some traffic, and meadows which may contain livestock.
If you haven’t yet walked with us, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of others who are similarly bereaved.
We will be sending out a welcome email about a week before the walk to give you more information and meeting point details. This email comes from info@tcf.org.uk so please look out for it (please also be aware that it can sometimes go into junk or spam folders, so do check there if you have registered for the walk and haven't received details)
Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent, grandparent or adult bereaved sibling.
Please register your interest/book for this walk by clicking on the 'Book for this event' button below.
