LOVE, LOSS & LANDSCAPE

Join us for an evening with authors Ru Callender, William Henry Searle and Sophie Pierce for a conversation touching on  death, renewal and the natural world. Kindly hosted by Craftmongers At Rafikis, St Lawrence Lane, Ashburton.

Will and Sophie’s memoirs about losing a child, Elowen and The Green Hill, describe the pain of loss but also explore the restorative power of nature and the landscape.

Ru Callender’s memoir What Remains, is the story of how he became an undertaker, driven by the raw, unresolved grief of losing his parents.

From walking through ancient forests, to tracking wolves, communing with crop circles and swimming in the waters of the River Dart, these authors, in their different books, explore how death is part of all our lives.
