North Shropshire Walk - Welsh Marches Countryside

North Shropshire Walk - Welsh Marches Countryside
TCF volunteers, David and Fiona, invite bereaved parents, grandparents and adult siblings to join a walk in the lovely Dee valley. As usual our aim is to bring people together in the countryside. Walking provides the background activity, but the focus is on mutual support and encouragement.
On the whole this is a level route, following paved lanes and paved or grassy paths. The total distance is 4 miles with 150 feet of gentle uphill gradient. It is not hill-walking, but it is Welsh countryside so you should be reasonably fit and use strong footwear and waterproofs. Please bring water, and any snacks you will need to keep you going. There are no facilities along the route, so on our return to the car park we will have drinks and/or lunch in the café (where your £2 parking fee will be deducted from your bill).
Please join us from 10:00 as we shall start walking at 10:15 prompt, returning for lunch by 12:45. We will send detailed instructions by email when you book.
***
We are sorry but if your loss is within the last 3-4 months, we think it would be best to wait a little longer before accessing our support walks – new walk dates are added on a regular basis here. We hope to welcome you at a future walk.
We look forward to meeting those who have walked with us before, and also welcoming those who are new to our walks.
If you haven’t yet walked with us, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of others who are similarly bereaved.
We will be sending out a welcome email about a week before the walk to give you more information and meeting point details. This email comes from info@tcf.org.uk so please look out for it (please also be aware that it can sometimes go into junk or spam folders, so do check there if you have registered for the walk and haven't received details).
Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent, grandparent or adult bereaved sibling.
To register for the walk, or to express an interest, please click ’book for this event’.
