The East End - London Walk

22 June 2024, 10.45
This walk is now full. If you would like to join the waiting list please email us at info@tcf.org.uk
Bereaved father and TCF volunteer, Terry, invites you to join him on his next London walk through the East End of London on Saturday 22 June, meeting at 10.45 am for an 11 am prompt start.
We will meet at Liverpool Street mainline station.** The route takes us through the history, diversity and green spaces of this fascinating district of London. We will explore Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane, Whitechapel and Stepney. We cannot walk through Whitechapel without the occasional nod to Ronnie & Reggie plus Jack of course.
We then make our way along a canal into the capital’s longest park where we cross the Green Bridge before reaching the Mile End conservation area where the walk should end around 3.30 pm.
From Mile End station it’s only two stops back to Liverpool Street.
***
We are sorry but if you are less than 3 months bereaved, we ask that you wait until you are 3 months or more bereaved before accessing our support walks – new walk dates are added on a regular basis here. We hope to welcome you at a future walk.
We look forward to meeting those who have walked with us before, and also welcoming those who are new to our walks.
If you haven’t yet walked with us, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of others who are similarly bereaved.
**We will be sending out a welcome email about a week before the walk to give you more information and exact meeting point details. This email comes from info@tcf.org.uk so please look out for it (please also be aware that it can sometimes go into junk or spam folders, so do check there if you have registered for the walk and haven't received details within 4/5 days of the walk).
Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be¯unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent, grandparent or adult bereaved sibling.
Please note that individuals join a TCF walk at their own risk.
To register for the walk, or to express an interest, please click ’book for this walk’.
