Find out more.

Join us from 10 am for tea, coffee and biscuits.

Lunch will be provided.

You are welcome to share your story with other people or sit quietly in a room with others. Sharing a space with people who are experiencing similar emotions can be very reassuring and therapeutic. The day aims to provide an opportunity to be less alone with the consequences of these difficult events.

The workshop will explore ideas about the value of support and how the support needs of people experiencing this lost may be better met. The day hopes to help you continue to make sense of what has gone before and continue to come to terms with your loss.

Complementing the workshops will be the opportunity to take part in alternative therapies including acupuncture and shiatsu massage, as well as a creative writing workshop.(To be confirmed)

We also welcome people who support friends or family members with bereavement, as well as professionals who support clients who may be bereaved. You are welcome to share your experiences, access support for yourself and learn about support needs and how best to meet them.

The workshop is run by BTA and BEAD, two organisations who provide support for people bereaved in this way. We have a good understanding of the lifestyles and behaviours associated with problematic drug and alcohol use, and the support and treatment that may have been involved in the life of the person you have lost.
