BOOK FOR THIS WALK

Bereaved parent, and Compassionate Friends (TCF) volunteer, Terry invites you to join him on his next walk for bereaved parents, siblings (18 years+) and grandparents in the Notting Hill area of London on Saturday 17 August, meeting at 10.45 am for an 11 am start.

We will meet at Paddington station** and will start walking at 11 am. The route covers around 5 miles and will take in Kensington Gardens and then on to the celebrated London district of Notting Hill with it’s association to the 1999 movie and world famous carnival. We will explore the charming streets looking at places of interest and discovering it’s history. Included is a visit to the legendary Portobello Road market where we will see places that feature in the movie.

Please note that there are many places to eat at lunchtime but picnic options are limited.

The walk should finish at 3.30-4.00 pm at Ladbroke Road tube station with a journey of only 2 stops back to Paddington.

There will be the option of staying on for refreshments at a pub after the walk.

***

We are sorry but if you are less than 3 months bereaved, we ask that you wait until you are 3 months or more bereaved before accessing our support walks – new walk dates are added on a regular basis here. We hope to welcome you at a future walk.

We look forward to meeting those who have walked with us before, and also welcoming those who are new to our walks.

If you haven’t yet walked with us, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of others who are similarly bereaved.

**We will be sending out a welcome email about a week before the walk to give you more information and exact meeting point details. This email comes from info@tcf.org.uk so please look out for it (please also be aware that it can sometimes go into junk or spam folders, so do check there if you have registered for the walk and haven't received details).

Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent, grandparent or adult bereaved sibling.

To register for the walk, or to express an interest, please click ’book for this walk’.
