BOOK FOR THIS WALK

Bereaved parent and TCF volunteer, Peter invites you to join him at his next walk at Little Walsingham, near Fakenham in North Norfolk for bereaved parents, adult siblings and grandparents on Thursday 24 October, meeting at 10.45 for an 11 am start.

Walsingham is the location of the National Catholic Shrine and also the Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and attracts both pilgrims and secular visitors who enjoy the peace and tranquility to be found there.

For our walk we will take in some of the beautiful countryside which lies in the valley of the river Stiffkey. We will follow the Pilgrims Way, part of a disused railway line which leads from the Catholic Shrine to the centre of the village. We will explore the unique ancient streets and buildings and break for refreshments at a local café.

In all, the walk will extend to approximately 4 miles.

Please wear suitable walking shoes and to bring a drink and snack for a break en route..

Our meeting point*** has free parking and toilets.

Peter looks forward to welcoming you to this supportive walk.

***

We ask please that you wait until you are at least 3 months or more bereaved before accessing our support walks – new walk dates are added on a regular basis here. We very much hope to welcome you at a future walk. During this time please do contact our Helpline on 0345 123 2304 or helpline@tcf.org.uk for support.

We look forward to meeting those who have walked with us before, and also welcoming those who are new to our walks.

If you haven’t yet walked with us, please don’t feel daunted or apprehensive about joining. You will very quickly find yourself in a friendly, supportive community of others who are similarly bereaved.

***We will be sending out a welcome email 5-7 days before the walk to give you more information and meeting point details. This email comes from Peter so please do check your spam/junk folder if you haven’t received information about the exact meeting point for the start of the walk.

Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will not be able to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent, grandparent or adult bereaved sibling.

Note that you join a TCF walk at your own risk.

To register for the walk, or to express an interest, please click ’book for this walk’.
