Candle Service of Remembrance for Bereaved Parents and Families

The Hexham Compassionate Friends Support Group are holding a service in Hexham Abbey to remember all the children they have sadly lost.
Barbara and Lucy, bereaved parent volunteers and group facilitators for the Hexham Support Group, say
“As we remember each individual child we will light a candle for them. The festive season and new year celebrations are such a challenging time for bereaved parents and their families. This service provides a safe space to hold our children in our hearts, surrounded by others who truly understand the heart ache we live with every day. We welcome bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings who would like to join us in remembering their child, grandchild or sibling and lighting a candle for them”.
