Norfolk Walk

Norfolk Walk

26 February 2025, 11.00

BOOK FOR THIS WALK

TCF volunteer and bereaved parent, Peter invites you to join him and fellow bereaved parents, siblings (18 years+) and grandparents on Wednesday 26 February 2025, meeting at 11 am at Wymondham Abbey.***

At the meeting place at the start of the walk***, please note that there is free parking and there are toilets at the Abbey.

The walk route will is a gentle 3 - 4 miles and takes us along the Tiffey Valley, including a section of disused railway line, and The Lizard, an historic grazing meadow. This is in addition to a wander through the historic town.

For those bereaved parents, adult siblings and grandparents who wish to join us we will follow the walk with tea and cake at a local café.

The walk will be leisurely with every opportunity to talk. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for a winter walk.

***

Please note that our peer support is for parents bereaved of a child from one month old to an adult son or daughter, from any cause.

We ask please that you wait until you are at least 3 months or more bereaved before accessing our support walks – new walk dates are added on a regular basis here. We very much hope to welcome you at a future walk. During this time, please contact our Helpline on 0345 123 2304 for support.

***We will be sending out a welcome email about a week before the walk to give you exact meeting point details and final arrangements. The email with this information comes from the walk facilitator, Peter, so please look out for it (please also be aware that it can sometimes go into junk or spam folders, so do check there if you have registered for the walk and haven’t received details within 4/5 days of the walk).

Please note that if you bring along a friend or relative with you for initial support, they will be unable to join us for the walk itself unless they are also a bereaved parent, grandparent or adult bereaved sibling.

As this is a supportive walk, we ask that we stay together as a group for the duration the walk. Thank you. Please note that all walkers join us at their own risk.
