Please come along and join us at our support day for Bereaved Fathers on Saturday 18 October 2025 at the Armourers’ Hall in the City of London.

All fathers who have been bereaved for 6 months or more are welcome to attend, but if there is a demand for places, priority will be given to fathers that are up to 10 years bereaved.

About the day

This day is an opportunity for dads to be together in a safe place to hear from and share with other fathers who have experienced the loss of their child or children (aged 1 month to an adult child) and from any cause.

Come and meet with others who understand the pain of grief for your beloved child or children and find support and understanding from each other and a team of volunteers who are bereaved fathers themselves.

The day will be a mixture of grief focused sharing sessions and activities, including a guided walk in this interesting area of the City of London.

Location

This day will be held at Armourers’ Hall in the City of London.

The venue is very close to Moorgate tube station and Liverpool Street train and tube station.

The day is open to bereaved fathers from across the country, so you may wish to stay overnight prior to 18 October to be able to arrive in time at the venue for a 10 am start.

The cost for the day is £35 per person - including refreshments, a light lunch and all sessions and activities.

If you have any questions about the day please email events@tcf.org.uk and Beth or Sharon in our events teams will get in contact with you.

Here’s what fathers have said who came to the support day last year:

“Once again it was a very worthwhile and even enjoyable day. I feel that I have made some good friends in the last few years in TCF who have given me invaluable support.”

“I found this a friendly and welcoming environment. So good to speak to and hear from other bereaved fathers. I found it a comfort.”

“I greatly appreciated the opportunity to listen to and talk with other bereaved dads. It feels that I have moved to a different place. A more comfortable, positive place. I am glad for the chance to heal and grow.”

“I am very thankful and grateful that the Compassionate Friends organises events like this where you can listen to other bereaved fathers, share experiences and feel less isolated.”

***

If your loss is within the last 6 months, we ask that you wait a little longer before accessing our support days. Our Helpline on 0345 123 2304 is here if you would like to talk with another bereaved parent who is there to listen and empathise.

Please note that our support days are run by bereaved parent volunteers. Our volunteers are not professionals and so what we offer is a uniquely warm, comforting and supportive day organised and facilitated by parents who have also experienced the loss of a child and have found understanding and hope themselves through The Compassionate Friends.
