James died suddenly on 24th September 2021 which has left many family, friends and colleagues heartbroken. He was 41 years old when he passed and had struggled for 2 years since COVID, when the pandemic isolated him with severe anxiety and OCD. Before this tragic time, James had a successful career as a freelance audio / visual technician, and he had just bought his first home which he was so proud of. James was loved by so many people who still to this day miss him terribly.
Compassionate Friends is a charity who support families who have lost a child of any age, and have been there for his mum, Lin, when she could not talk to anyone else. The volunteers on the helpline, in addition to Lin’s grief companion who phones her every week, have been amazing as they truly understand. Lin feels like she wouldn’t know here she would be without the support of this amazing cause.
This is why we want to do something to raise as much as possible! To do this, Lin, James’ brother Nick, James’ best friend Robbo and James’ close colleague and friend Andy will be taking on the world’s fastest zip line on his birthday, 31st July. We all know James will be looking down on us saying “GO FOR IT MUM!”
Please give as much as you can, not only in James’ memory, but also to help this amazing charity continue the vital work they do.
