Facebook groups
These are private, closed groups on Facebook, which function a bit like a ‘virtual’ support group. Here, like the Forum, you can talk to other parents and siblings via posts. They are safe, secret groups and often the newly bereaved move to these from the Forum in time. We hope these groups will offer you support, encouragement, some hope and friendship.
To join, please contact the relevant moderator who looks after the group. You will be warmly welcomed – the moderator will ask you a few questions about your loss and then you will be emailed a link via Facebook to join the group.

Note: There is also a support group on Facebook for siblings which is not affiliated with TCF, but will offer support to those over and under 18. It is called BEREAVED SIBLINGS SUPPORT GROUP and can be searched for on Facebook. Once the group is found, the sibling can request to join on the group page.

This is a dedicated regional group for bereaved parents who are based in Northern Ireland. We look forward to welcoming you to the group.

INFORMAL SOCIAL MEET-UP GROUPS
There are 2 informal Facebook groups which have been created to help with organising social meet-ups with other bereaved parents. All are welcome to join.

If you would like to organise a social meet-up in your area, (pub lunch, walk, tea and cake in a cafe etc) you can just post up your idea of when and where and then others can see if they are near and can make it. Or perhaps you would like to find others near you - just post up where you are located, and maybe there will be others nearby and you can arrange to meet. We hope that this will make it a bit easier to find others near you to talk and meet with.
Here's the small print: Please note that because of the social nature of the Compassionate Pals groups, we cannot moderate/admin this page in the same way as other TCF Facebook groups specifically for bereavement support - and we also have to remind you that if you meet others socially you do so at your own risk.
