Under the Children's Funeral Fund, the fees and expenses for burials and cremations are met largely by government funding. CFC will continue to fund the elements of the funeral that are not covered by the new fund, in England and Wales.

A charity which supports families in Dundee struggling with a funeral. They can offer support and independent advice on how to make the best choices to suit individual emotional and financial needs. They are also a signposting service for other organisations in the area for bereavement support.

Services: An alliance of organisations that can support bereaved parents and families in Scotland. They have an abundance of resources of up-to-date contacts from general information when someone has died, to organising a funeral, and then bereavement support for different people / reasons.

Support and information for families who have lost a loved one to meningitis and everyone who has suffered and recovered from meningitis. Free counselling, online support and befrienders throughout the UK. Family days - children who have meningitis or lost someone to it. Financial grants including a grant up to £1000 for funeral or headstone costs for the individual who has died from meningitis.

Services: Willl support around practical arrangements following a death. This NHS team of advisors will deal with any and every question related to a death. If they don't have the answer, they will try to signpost to someone who does. This information service is free and impartial and works with individuals to identify the best solution in their circumstances using straight-forward language. This is combined with empathy and understanding of the experience of bereavement and if required, directing individuals to longer term sources of emotional support,
