Amparo provides emotional and practical support for anybody who has felt the impact of suicide. The service is not just for 'next of kin' and it is free and completely confidential. Support can be provided one-to-one, to family groups, groups of work colleagues – whatever is most appropriate to your situation. Amparo can also help with a range of practical matters such as: dealing with police and coroners; helping with media enquiries; preparing for and attending an inquest and helping you to access other, appropriate, local support services.

Advisers on the BVC helpline can provide information and advice on advocacy, can advise on entitlement to advocacy based on care and support needs, and can signpost and refer to relevant advocacy services and other specialist services.
