You Raise Me Up

Telephone: Helpline: 01323 482772 (24 hour emotional support)

Website: https://www.youraisemeup.co.uk/

The ‘You Raise Me up Charity’ was founded by the late Jane Brooks and her husband Fraser in June 2011 following the sudden loss of their daughter Megan. The charity’s sole purpose is to raise funds to support families that have suffered the loss of an adult child between the age of 16 and 25 and to be able to provide compassion, support and simply to be able to say “we totally understand” rather than “we cannot imagine what you are going through!”

The loss of your child is possibly the most devastating and life-changing event you’ll face, but you don’t have to deal with this alone or unsupported. At the You Raise Me Up charity (YRMU) emotional support is offered to families who have sadly lost a child between the ages of 16 and 25. The service provides experienced counsellors who offer one to one or family counselling, working with you at your pace. They also offer group support at their Polegate Centre..
