Walk with us at Broadlands Estate

As part of One Step at a Time, we invite you to join bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, family, staff and volunteers and finish our fundraiser with a flourish - a walk at Broadlands Estate on 31st May.

Broadlands is the home of the President Patron of The Compassionate Friends - the Countess Mountbatten of Burma, who is herself a bereaved mother. Based in Romsey, Hampshire, Broadlands has walkable green pastures beside the 18th Century country house and Orangery. Providing beautiful natural surroundings and a regal backdrop, we couldn’t think of anywhere better to finish our month of fundraising.

Register to walk at Broadlands here

Please arrive on the day from 10.30am. We will start walking at 11am.
There are 3 options of varying distances to walk around the track at Broadlands: 0.75 miles, 1.5 miles or 3.5 miles. You can decide on the day what suits you best. Each group of walkers will be stewarded by a TCF volunteer.

Track & mobility
The track around Broadlands Estate is part tarmac, part semi-tarmac (slightly looser ground). If you require the use of a wheelchair, mobility scooter or other walking aid, we advise that you use an ‘all-terrain’ mobility vehicle.
The longest walking route is part tarmac, part grass. This route is not suitable for those who require the use of a mobility aid.
Please ensure that you wear suitable footwear for walking.
